Treatment for binge drinking with hypnotherapy in Kent - Herne Bay

To most people, binge drinking brings to mind self-destructive and unrestrained drinking bouts lasting for at least a couple of days, during which time the heavily intoxicated drinker "drops out". They don’t work, ignore their responsibilities, spend money recklessly, and engage in arguments, fights or even risky sex.

The Journal of Studies on Alcohol describes binge as an extended period of time (typically at least two days) during which time a person repeatedly becomes intoxicated and gives up his or her usual activities and obligations in order to become intoxicated.

There are some researchers who would consider a woman who has two glasses of wine with her leisurely dinner and then sips two more drinks over the course of a four or five hour evening to be binge drinking, although in the view of most people, such a woman would be acting responsibly. Indeed her blood alcohol content would remain low. It’s unlikely that she would even be able to feel the effects of the alcohol.

Realistically, binge drinking is any intoxicated drinking that leads to certain harmful or destructive behaviour. There are some people who don’t indulge for weeks at a time but once they have that glass of wine, or spirits, or whatever, then it’s as if the floodgates open and they drink for England!! That is binge drinking. Perhaps it could be considered as one step away from alcoholism.

Again, this is a control issue, and can be successfully dealt with by the use of Pure Hypnoanalysis (analytical therapy).
